According to wikipedia, role-playing is a technique or activity in which a person plays the role of a character (real or imaginary) in a fictional environment. The participant acts through this role through imaginary actions, through narrative actions (improvised dialogues, descriptions, play) and by making decisions about the development of the character and his or her story.

 

There are a plethora of role-playing games. The best known is probably "Dungeons & Dragons®". But there are also "Call of Cthulhu®", "Deadlands®", "Star wars®"... to name a few.

 

 

I've planned for you a whole series of scenarios that I can easily adapt to your level and your desires. Each of these scenarios takes place in a particular universe and atmosphere: contemporary, medieval fantasy, science fiction, western, American university in the 60s...
